Fallen from Grace
Isaiah 14:12 - "How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn!"
There are truths that demand to be spoken plainly, without softening their edges. Today I write about the deceiver himself - not to give him glory, but to strip away his disguises. In a world where lies masquerade as wisdom, sometimes the kindest thing we can do is bring blazing light into the darkness.
He was hurled from Heaven,
not drifting, not falling,
but cast down in fury,
banished by the Voice
that split seas
and flung galaxies into place.
The Almighty stripped his wings,
tore the crown from his head,
and a third of the angels
fell with him,
driven out like ash
before the storm.
He was never God’s equal,
only an angel,
a servant created to sing praise,
who mistook the shimmer of his own song
for glory itself.
He twisted words in Eden,
promising fruit would taste like freedom,
and still he whispers the same,
it will not matter,
no one will know,
cover sin with silence
and call it choice.
He stood before Jesus
in the wilderness,
brazen, puffed up,
offering kingdoms never his to give.
But every lie met Scripture,
every boast met Truth,
every scheme met
the Son who would not bow.
This is the pattern,
a deceiver with no power
except the power we hand him.
A liar,
a mimic,
a shadow.
His wings already torn,
his sentence sealed,
his place is Hades.
Do not be fooled.
He paints sin as freedom,
chains as liberty,
darkness as light.
But his promises rot,
and his empire crumbles.
The Cross has silenced him.
The tomb has undone him.
God’s grace is enough,
always enough.
So lift your eyes,
hold to Truth,
and remember:
Christ has already won.
I write these words not from a place of victory achieved, but from the midst of the battle itself. Sin is destructive - I know this not as theory but as lived truth. Yet in naming the deceiver's lies, in speaking God's truth over them, we find that in the very act of resistance, begins our healing. The fight is real, but so is the victory promised to those who stand firm in His Word.

Another good one, Brenda! This sparked a reflection within me on the concept of humans.
The concept of "human" is deceptive; at our most base, we are calculating and cruel animals -- though most animals do only what they must to survive.
No worries.
We still have leeches and skull punctures (to allow the dark spirits to escape …)
Fantastic work, Brenda. I would like to start a correspondence with you. Talk about our writing and other things regarding art in general. Subscribe, for I have done the same. I imagine our bonded will power with these exercises will bear much fruit. I'll be in touch. Yours, CC
Looking forward.
Powerful words, Brenda!
