As someone who does do Christmas (though admittedly more in the family/Santa with my daughter sense rather than the birth of Christ), I thought that was a very well written piece.

Everyone should be able to celebrate each season as they wish, and I'm glad you've found a way to not feel pressured into celebrating in a way that you don't wish to and know what it is about winter that you love and what feels good in it for you.

I can so empathize, xmas to is just the most heavily commercialized and high-pressured holiday besides Easter, and they're both religious holidays. We don't worthship any of the Earth's thousands of gods so that part also means nothing to us but church trauma. We've decided to try Yule which sounds much more fun, intimate, and chill. All about finding what's right for us. 🖤🐦‍⬛
