Beautifully written, Brenda. I love how you capture the quiet tragedy of mistaking progress for wisdom, and the hope that sheβs still waiting for us, barefoot and forgiving.
Hi Brenda, Youβve put words to a feeling many of us carry. Weβve gained so much, and yet somehow drifted from what steadied us. Wisdom isnβt about knowing more, itβs about remembering how to hold what we already know. ~ Nerra βοΈβ‘οΈβοΈ
This is beautiful β and true. It made me think of that old saying: knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, but wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad. Weβve gathered so much knowledge and yet forgotten how to live wisely. The line βwe built what was never brokenβ really struck me β such a powerful reminder of how far weβve drifted from what makes us whole.
All that βprogressβ really pulled us away from what keeps the soul grounded. Such soft words, yet they hit like truth; makes one want to kick off the shoes and go back to the soilπ
Thank you for this piece it really got me thinking. I appreciate the way you explore the gap between intelligence and true wisdom. Your voice is clear and meaningful. Iβm glad I read this today.
This is breathtaking, both a lament and a reminder. Youβve captured the quiet tragedy of modern life with such truth and grace. I felt every line. The ending especially moved me; βwisdom isnβt for sale. Sheβs outside, waiting for us to take off our shoes.β What a perfect way to call us back to whatβs real.
Thank you. I appreciate your words. Lately some false selling has hit home. The lies wrapped up in velvet words, selling products that are worthless, just left me so bereft. This piece played on my mind and this morning I put it together. π
Beautiful article. We do tend to overcomplicate things, donβt we π
Yes, I believe we doπ . Thanks π

Greed has undone society in every aspect.
I prefer to embrace βenoughβ always.
Thank you for succinctly expressing just how I feel, Brenda.
