Many years ago, my ex husband and I went to Scotland for our honeymoon. We stayed in the "farmhouse" of a distant cousin of his out in the countryside. I totally fell in love with Scotland then and would give anything to return!

Beautiful. I’m up there next week. Real job unfortunately, but I always try and take the scenic routes.

Thank you - Enjoy Phil, it was The Gathering yesterday, but all the tickets had been sold out. And a good day for it too. Today is windy and typical Scottish weather. But………..still just a joy. Safe travels.

Nice. Wish I could see it myself. Scotland is one place I haven't been. I need to fix that. Thanks for sharing.

I love green spaces and trees and Scotland looks like it has loads of those. It also has a huge blue sky which is like South Africa

Brenda, I love your photos.

When I was a little lass, the school took us to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. I must have been 8, so a million years ago.

I didn’t want to go home.

The gentleman who guided our class was a Mister Jordaan and he taught us so kindly and helpfully.

Always wanted to visit my Great Aunt Mavis in Edinburgh. She was a lovely lady who had moved from Simon’s Town to Edinburgh with her Scot husband Andy who was in the Navy.

Never got there, so happily you and your husband and son are going for us all.

Thank you for sharing joy and precious peace today.

Enjoy your trip, Brenda.

Kindest regards and respect

Scotland is the country of my ancestry. Perhaps I will travel there one day. Brenda, I especially love the shadows from the clouds on the landscape you photographed. Gorgeous!
